Shame in Healthcare Network
Conversation Series

As a project, we have spent a long time thinking about how best to harness the growing interest around shame in healthcare, and as such, we have formed the Shame in Healthcare Network. The network is an inclusive, international group of interdisciplinary professionals who are committed to openly acknowledging and addressing the role of shame in healthcare through discussion, collaboration, and scholarship.

The Network will host a series of quarterly webinars that will explore various aspects of shame in healthcare through expert presentations and group discussion.  Each webinar will last one hour and will feature a guest speaker talking about a dimension of shame in healthcare, followed by safe, open, facilitated group discussions.  Knowledge or understanding of shame is not a pre-requisite for joining! We only ask that you bring curiosity and a commitment to establishing a safe and open environment through which shame can be meaningfully explored.

Upcoming webinars:

8th July 2026

14th October 2026

13th January 2027

14th April 2027

To join the webinars: sign up for sessions here. We recommend signing up for a session even if you're not sure you'll be able to make it to ensure that you receive the Zoom link and invitation. You will receive these within a week of signing up.

Join our mailing list to receive updates on ways to engage with the Network. This includes announcements about webinars, events, and opportunities; we do not anticipate a high-volume of emails, and you can opt out at anytime.
